Oil pressure warning light flickers
Flickering may be electrical or the first sign of real pressure close to the limit, especially at hot idle. It must not be ignored.
Exactly when does it flicker?
Hot idle, machine tilt, sharp braking, constantly, after hard work or when RPM falls? Hot low-RPM flickering can mean genuinely marginal pressure.
Oil level
At low level the pickup may intermittently draw air, especially on a slope. Check on level ground according to the manufacturer's procedure.
Sensor and wiring
Check pressure sensor, connector, wire, ground and instrument panel/ECM. Replacing the sensor alone does not establish that the fault is fixed without measuring real pressure.
Gauge measurement
Measure hot idle, increased RPM and the instant flickering starts. Normal pressure directs checks to electrics; real pressure loss to lubrication and engine wear.
Why only hot?
Hot oil is less viscous, making pump/bearing wear more evident. Diesel may also raise the level and thin the oil excessively.

What to send us
Engine model, oil, temperature, RPM, actual gauge pressure and flickering conditions.
Include the make and model, S/N or a nameplate photo, engine model if known, operating hours, exact code or display photo and when the fault occurs.
Also tell us what you have already checked or replaced and the results. Include a photo or short video of the symptom where useful.
