Why is the excavator’s hydraulic system weak?
Weak hydraulics means insufficient force when digging, lifting, swinging under load or travelling. First establish whether every function is weak or only one. This determines where to investigate next.
When all functions are weak
Check oil level and condition, the suction line, filters, main pump and its control, main relief valve, pilot pressure, LS/PC/EPC and engine speed. Measure pressure; sound alone cannot establish hydraulic condition.
When only one function is weak
The pump may be sound. Focus on the relevant control valve section, spool, pilot command, solenoid, local relief valve, cylinder, hydraulic motor, internal leakage and hoses.
Pressure is not flow
Slow but strong movement, fast but weak movement and loss of both speed and force are different conditions. When force is lacking, pressure under load matters.
Engine speed and power
A weak engine can also limit hydraulics. Check engine speed, derate, fuel supply, boost and pump load.
Oil condition and temperature
Incorrect oil, low level, air or overheating affect the system. Hydraulics that become weak only when hot require a separate diagnostic approach.
What you can observe
Record whether all functions or one are affected, whether force or speed is missing and whether cold operation is better. Note pump noise, foaming, oil level and engine speed drop.

What to send us
Send the machine model, S/N, affected functions, pressures measured at the test ports, oil temperature, engine speed and pump control data.
Include the make and model, S/N or a nameplate photo, engine model if known, operating hours, exact code or display photo and when the fault occurs.
Also tell us what you have already checked or replaced and the results. Include a photo or short video of the symptom where useful.
